PURPOSE
The purpose of FBC is to honor God as we become, and reproduce, fully devoted followers of Jesus.  We are committed to Spirit-led growth in:

• Worship — we were planned for God’s pleasure
• Fellowship — we were formed for God’s family
• Discipleship — we were created to be like Christ
• Ministry — we were shaped to serve God
• Mission — we were made for a mission
  

Forgiveness
• Admitting our sin and need
• Living under grace, not law
• Providing a place of healing
• Opening doors for second chances

Character
• Loving one another sacrificially
• Choosing integrity in our actions
• Exhorting each other truthfully
• Building covenant relationships

Service
• Meeting the needs of those around us
• Extending His life to our neighbors

• Training to use our gifts excellently

• Protecting the unity of the church
• Encouraging each other in prayer

DECLARATION OF FAITH
• We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired and completely inerrant in the original writings and thus the sole authority for faith and practice.
• We believe in one God, the God of the Bible, eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.
• We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word and deed.
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
• We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and His present life for us as High Priest and advocate.
• We believe in “that blessed hope”, the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
• We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and baptized by Him into the body of Christ; thus becoming eternally secure.
• We believe every Christian is a priest before God, having been gifted and uniquely placed into the body by the Holy Spirit. 
• We believe the local Church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by a covenant of faith and the fellowship of the gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ which are: Believer’s Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved; and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
