MEMBERSHIP
WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO TAKE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH?
- Any person who professes faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and holds views of faith and practice in conformity with those of FBC may be received into our membership.
- The church requires baptism by immersion in order to become a member.
- Because we believe strongly that membership in a local church should not be taken lightly, you will be asked to attend a BELONG 101 class. The class is a pre-requisite to becoming a member.
- Following the BELONG 101 class, you will be asked to share your testimony of faith with an elder, for Elder recommendation of membership.
New members will then be presented to the congregation by the reading of names of those who have completed the BELONG 101 class and have given their testimony. The congregation will then affirm you into membership.
The date of this final affimation will be made known to you as soon as possible after finishing BELONG 101.
