Shelton First Baptist Church exists to make and to be made disciples of Jesus: a people of Truth, with Character, in Community, and on Mission.

A People of Truth – Believing What Jesus Believed

Since the Truth is a person (Jesus), a message (the Gospel), and a book  (the Bible), our mission is to help people grow in their love of Jesus, His Story, and His Word.

A People With Character – Living Like Jesus Lived

Since God wants us to have the Character of Jesus, our mission is to help people grow to be more like Jesus in their character, thoughts, words, and actions.

A People In Community – Loving Like Jesus Loved

Since Community is critical for people becoming disciples, our mission is to be a place filled with vibrant gospel-centered relationships, a place where people are mutually encouraged and challenged to follow Jesus in the context of a faith-family.

A People On Mission – Serving Like Jesus Served

Since every Christian should be on Mission, our mission is to be a group of people who loves our neighbors in Mason County the way Jesus would. This means treating our everyday lives as the place where God wants to make the gospel to our community.
